Frequently asked questions

What Should I do before you install my new curb?

We handle most of the prep work; however, if you can make sure we have a water source available such as a hose hook-up, note any utility sources, and flag sprinkler heads to help us ensure that we perform a damage-free job!

How long will it take to dry?

It takes a full week for our curbing to dry completely. Although it will be strong enough to walk on after 48 hours, take caution during the first week. Wait at least 3-4 days before doing any landscaping or lawn maintenance. Most importantly, avoid any contact within the first 24 hours. Leave sprinkler and irrigation systems off for 24 hours. Please allow 24 hours before letting any pets or children around the curbing to avoid damage.

How long does concrete curbing last?

With a little care and maintenance concrete curbing will last many years. Moisture is the primary enemy of any concrete structure therefore we seal all of our work with a commercial-grade acrylic sealer. Periodic re-sealing every 2-3 years will help assure a long and healthy life for your concrete curbing. Call us if you need your existing curbing re-sealed.

How long does the process take and how much damage is done to my lawn?

Depending on the type and footage of the installation, the complete process normally takes only one day. As far as damage to the property, we mix all our products on-site in a special trailer built for this process. No heavy vehicles or equipment of any kind will come on the property. Standard equipment used will be the actual curb machine, bed-preparer, wheel barrow, and a four wheeled power wheel barrow for transporting the concrete. Our professional team ensures that the yard is cleaned upon job completion.

How much does curbing cost?

While pricing is primarily based upon the number of linear feet of concrete curbing placed, other factors include site/ground preparations; the number of different areas to install curbing; coloring; stamping, and travel distance, just to name a few. Any of these factors can affect the price. This is why we give FREE on-site consultations. We need to see the property before giving a quote.

Will the curbing crack?

All concrete will crack. Our concrete is mixed to precise specifications, 3000psi, and meets the quality of the concrete found around your home today. To control cracking, we install control joints every 2-3 feet. We also install fiber reinforcement into the mixing process of the concrete to assure strength. In addition, at an additional charge we can add galvanized cable reinforcement throughout to increase stability.

Flatwork Warranty

It is our policy to offer a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship for no additional cost.

Can I afford this?

You’ll be surprised how inexpensive our product is when you compare it to other alternatives. There are certainly “cheaper” landscaping products available, but none compare to the quality and beauty of concrete curbing. Concrete curbing is a great value and we have a product for every budget.
